Ariel holds a MA in Counseling from the Institute for Clinical Social Work (2020) and a BFA in Creative Writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2017). They currently live in Chicago, and are a PhD candidate at the Institute for Clinical Social Work. They have a number of years of experience providing psychodynamic psychotherapy to adults, as well as play therapy while working with children and families.
They have particular clinical interest in bodies, eating disorders, family systems and dynamics, parenthood, mourning, complex trauma, supporting individuals in the queer community, atypical relationship styles, and infant mental health.
